Collector Details
This bottling supported the 1986 bicentennial celebration of Frankfort, Kentucky, the city that is home to the distillery. It was sold as part of the anniversary’s fundraising efforts and stands apart from the regular Blanton’s presentation in nearly every visual detail.
The stopper depicts the courthouse in place of the familiar horse and jockey. A heavy pour of gold wax seals the stopper and runs down the bottle, while gold embossing replaces the usual paper label.
The presentation uses the Bicentennial Distilling Company name; the Blanton’s name appears on neither the bottle nor the accompanying hang tag. No dump date is stated on the bottle.
