The Story

Collectors were still awaiting the 2021 Special Release when photographs of the Honey Barrel presentation began circulating in early 2022. Its unexpected appearance through US online retailers added to the interest: the bottles had been intended for Europe, but substantial quantities had reached the American market through other channels.

Collector Details

  • Marketed as the "Honey Barrel" special release it is NOT finished with honey. The term is a nod to the tradition of selecting the best tasting barrels from the warehouse which are often called "sugar" or "honey" barrels.
  • A honeycomb motif appears on both the label and the box.
  • Bottle dumped on September 17, 2021.

A new book from the creator of WarehouseH.com

The story of Blanton’s Bourbon has never been fully told…until now.

“Warehouse H unveils the history and secrets of Blanton’s—the most polarizing bourbon brand—in a remarkable story of perseverance, the power of marketing, and the allure of novelty, along with an entertaining take on what many consider to be irrational exuberance. Guglielmi brings a fresh perspective from a position of true admiration, making the case for why Blanton’s is America’s most influential whiskey.”
