Takara Black was launched in Japan in 1994 as a lower-proof alternative within the expanding Japanese Blanton’s range. It became an established companion to Original Single Barrel and Takara Red, combining a gentler bottling strength with the longer maturation associated with Japan-exclusive expressions.
The Japanese 50 ml miniature has been discontinued. The expression is aged approximately eight years.
